To increase IT efficiency and reduce risks in operation, the outsourcing project involved the outsourcing and takeover of ÖVAG’s data center to the service provider Kapsch BusinessCom. This comprehensive transformation not only affected areas such as network, telephony, infrastructure, workspace & application solutions, as well as processes & tools but also part of ÖVAG’s IT staff was transferred to the organization of the new service provider Kapsch BusinessCom.
Consequently, in addition to the technical component, the successful integration of the long-standing employees of ÖVAG into the new working environment of Kapsch BusinessCom posed a challenge. The focus of the change management was a renewed positive orientation of all those involved to be able to achieve the originally jointly set goals. The focus was on managing the project, which was in crisis, by resolving deadlocked positions. The affected employees, managers, and HR departments were supported, among other things, using sparring and coaching. At the same time, processes and working methods were optimized and changed, and successful joint work and interaction between all those involved was achieved.
